What is this setup?

My Satellite Setup
1 metre dish, Apple iMac 24"
My Location
France
Can anyone tell me if the dish shown in the attached image is likely to give me two independent feeds?

We inherited the dish and wiring when we bought the house. The two cables come from the dish into my living room and both give a signal when plugged into my Sky Digibox.

I'm looking at upgrading to a Humax FOXSAT HDR and am hoping that these two wires will give me two feeds, one for viewing and the other for recording.

It seems odd (to me) to have two cables from the dish into the same room if they are not independent.

Well I would suspect the previous occupant had Sky + hence the two feeds, as you rightly say one for watching and one for recording and since you have checked they both gave you a signal I can only assume you received the same channels on both feeds.... if so that would confirm it is not any other type of lnb such as a monobloc which looks at two separate satellites, so all in all I think you have answered your own question. If it is pointing at the sat you want there is little to be done by you. It actually looks like this is a quad output so you could possibly have two more feeds out for the bedrooms I suspect

Does this mean that I will be able to watch one channel and record another at the same time?

If I had a twin LNB, I expected to see 2 heads on the arm.

Sorry if this all sounds a bit dense but I'm fairly clueless about satellites, LNBs etc.

Looks like an MTi quad which can be simplified as having 'four seperately switched LNb's placed in one housing'. You can watch one and record another programme as you are connected to two of the four independently switched outputs.

Two heads on the arm would be used to pick up 2 different satellites.
