I have been thinking of getting a new LNB as my current one is a 5 year old 0.6dB with stuff coming out of it (some green moss I guess). I also have some pixalisation on some of the Thor channels, so I guess it's time to upgrade. My problem is that I don't know which one to get?

I read somewhere that a 0.3dB Invacom would be the way to go, but what about all the other 0.2dB and 0.1dB models out there (how is that, by the way, possible to get such a low noise figure)? Should I go for a twin output in case I should opt for a PVR receiver at some point, or is it better to stick to a single output?

In the good old analouge days, I remember that I was recommended to get a Sharp LNB as they were supposed to be the best ones. Is that still applicable?

Cheers

Most LNB´s nowadays are pretty much the same, with the average ones all .6db, but if you want high gain get one with a .3db. This will give you higher signal on weak transponders. I dont know if you can get .2 or .1 LNBs, as ive never heard of them. Do you have 2 receivers to run off this one dish? If so get a twin. Hope this helps.

0.2dB ones do exist, not too sure about the 0.1 variety though.
