Hi, I have a recently purchased Passion+ HD box that came in a kit along with a 65cm oval mesh style dish ( like my Sky+ dish but bigger) and a Fortec Star Universal LNB model FSKUVN. I want to add a motor but am unsure which to buy. I want one that is easy to install as I am a complete novice. My wall faces approx 130 degree from North if this makes any difference.
Where would be a good place to buy also, Maplin don't have much of a selection and seem a bit over priced.
Thanks for any advise

One that is used by a lot is the moteck sg2100, the last time I checked, it was about £35. Maplin is always expensive for this type of thing, try one of the site sponsors, see my sig.

Also to be able to fit your dish to the motor, it needs to be one that can be clamped to a vertical pole.

Reagarding you wall direction, it makes no difference, in order that you have enough room for the dish to turn you will need to have enough standoff from the wall. T&Ks and a 2inch diam steel pole is the usual method.

Well that would make it East South East, this would meant that unless you sit the dish above the gutter, you will get no Western satellites.

Bite the bullet and get a Moteck SG2100A / TM2200

There are many different H-H motors but rate this one in particular.

Trust me, I have tried to break it but just keeps going. In fact only today whist testing, I crabbed hold of the motor shaft :-rofl2 whilst it was turning and after a delay of no movement, it shut down. They have a safety mechanism to prevent stripping the gearing.

I have attached a screengrab of my Dishpointer info, is there a best place to mount the dish? maybe on the left wall instead of the front wall? Thanks

By my reckoning, you'd be OK with that, you have plenty of room to go westward, up to approx 60 degrees at a guess, as long as the T&Ks you got were large enough, so the dish didn't bash the wall. Obviously, above the guttering, there would be a bit more space.
