I've been using a diablo light 2.3 for Canal digitaal on 19E, etc.
Had it for ages.
Was working yesterday. Today nothing. Not initialising.
Decide to load UW 1.76 to see if it would work.
Cas studio message saying my cam is now a 2.2, not a 2.3.:confused:
Recommends an upgrade.
So, now, when I load a UW version, it is giving me the insert a smartcard message.

Is there anything I can do, or am I going to have to pay to upgrade my ex 2.3, back to 2.3.

Can't understand how this has happened.
 
The old Cas Studio software used to give that message even when the cam was a 2.3, it was a bug in the software, which version are you using?
If the Cam firmware has become damaged contact duolabs, they should have a record of your payment for the upgrade, and they will probably sort it out.
 
I've been using Cas Sudio 8.6C, successfully, for some months now.
I'd say it's the Cam firmware that has become damaged, in some way.
Unfortunately, I bought the cam "as new", via a third party, so, even though I've e-mailed Duolabs with the problem, they won't have me on record.

So, I guess I've had it, unless I'm prepared to gamble on buying a new cam and it lasting, which is doubtful.

Even with the Diablo 2.2 you can still view Canal Digitaal, but it means manually updating the keys, or loading an amended keys bin file, as the 2.2 doesn't have the AU facility.
I would hold off buying a new Diablo 2.3 and wait a few weeks to see if anything new appears.

I have the new keys (hex) went into edit key list, went to canal digitaal setting 03 and manually entered the keys, but can't figure out how to save the new settings. They are wiped when I exit.
What am I doing wrong?:confused:
 
Itdepends on your receiver, some have problems when entering new keys.
I always do mine by tuning to a FTA channel and then entering the menu.
It might be easier if you used Fausto to update a keys bin file and then loaded this onto your cam.

Manually tried the new hex keys, but no luck.
I noticed that all the Irdeto KeyIds were blank. 000000 etc
Had a look at digitv's Nag 2 and the hex keys were there.
So, I think I'll give Fausto a go, today.
If no go, I'd guess I have a dead cam.
