I just got a unit with a rom 10 card, so I was looking around for the files and the programmer that I will need for this.
I couldn't find anything, should I be looking for a different name or a different name (like titanium card).

Rom 10 card is for nagra1 channels only. Normally these are expired original cards that you can load current data on with a phoenix compatible programmer.

There isn't much left in Europe that still uses nagra1 - was there any particular package you are interested in?

This is a very interesting area of study and much more in it that the normal programming of a card with a file downloaded from the net.

Hi m8

Thanks for your reply

You actually answer my next question witch type o card should i buy since in the sat online shops i can't see any ROM10 cards.

I was given a Portuguese TVCabo (Sagem) box and a card (Rom10), my mate had it all set for him by a third party that is not in the picture any more, he told me if it goes down it can be programed to get it back up.
I done some investigating and i was getting a bit confused since i couldn't get any information about the ROM10 cards, they all seem to be named something else.

What i was trying to do is to get a spare ROM10 card and a writer to mess about with it so when it goes down i know what I'm doing.

Since i first post the thread i bought a "USB Phoenix Smartmouse Interface Programmer" from the web and i hope this will work

If all you want is Cabo there are far easier (but more costly) ways to get it than MOSCing a ROM10 card. If you want to stick with your current set up there is a lot to learn, and I know only a limited amount.

Spare ROM10 cards are almost impossble to get for sensible money. Spain & Portugal is one source if you have a contact. In the UK you can pick up expired, locked NTL cards. You then first have to learn how to unlock the card (big subject).

A phoenix programmer is what you need to read & write to the ROM10 card and I assume your USB Programmer will do the job.

Try to find LCV's rom10 Pack for background information, you might find a lot of information here if you search for it.
