Dear All, as a newbie to disecq, my "fixed" dish as i've been told to install it even though it is motorised, can switch between two satellites, the instructions report aa, ab, bb, ba? with the two satellites taking 1st and 3rd positions, and 2nd and 4th respectively. I have a Humax Foxsat HD box which is not very helpful at showing how to add another satellite other than Freesat even though it's in non freesat mode. The question is, how do i actually apply the diseqc commands to the satellite i require, and tell the box what channel is on what satellite?

It sounds like you have a fixed dual head dish, or maybe more, rather than a motorised system.
The receiver selects different LNBs depending on the command sent, but your main job will to get the dish installed in the right position so the LNBs detect the correct satellites when channel searching is carried out.
Once everything is correct the rest is fully automatic.
Have a look within the Freesat section for the commands (some hidden within the setup using the colour buttons) of a Humax receiver.
