About six weeks ago I took the dog for its evening walk but suddenly felt completely drained. Got back home and went to bed, could hardly stand. Stayed there most of the time for two weeks, then shuffled about for another week. Doc said there's a virus in the area. Went to bed that evening and was rigid with a stiff neck, pain was beyond belief. A few days of pain killers and I was about but feeling drained. Doc gave me the low down in no uncertain terms. Smoked for sixty years now stop before smoking stops you. Take it very easy for 6 months and no ladders or climbing roofs, he saw me last year repairing the ridge tiles. So I will get a mate to check my Fibo 90 in the summer and the Fibo 50 I got a few months ago will have to go. Cost me quite a bit with delivery from abroad but my 2nd warning in 3 years. Now I am puffing on an e cig, tried several times before but doing ok and the doc is happy. So I am about again and will pop in when I feel perky.:D

Can you do my ridge tiles?

I've just had a quote of £895 to replace mine on the north facing hips and ridges.

BTW I hope you continue to recover!

Any left over baccy? Good to here you´re OK , stay upright " young man "

Add my name to those glad to see you back in action. Give it a couple of days more before getting up on that roof!

Don´t forget to charge Lazarus 200 quid extra for the roof tiles, travelling and all!

I wish you all good health.

I'm also an e-cig user, quit smoking 5 years ago. My first one was a cigarette looking type and I was able to cut back but not quit entirely. Larger holders for liquid and higher capacity batteries solved it and was a very easy switch. I don't even like the taste of real tobacco anymore.

There are now enough of us here to discus technicalities. Although I've been doing it for so long I'm still looking for improvements, any modders here? My main one is a constant power regulator equipped with a 18650 battery. All atomizers I've tried seem to suffer from not being wet enough. Top & bottom feed, cartridges in tanks, whatever. Capillary force to deliver liquid is just crude. I have a stash of wires to wind my own coils and stainless steel mesh for.. I've forgot what they are called. I haven't been too successful. I find it hard to keep up with the latest trends as e-cig forums are just too noisy. I have never tried those <1 ohms, high powered ones, even 10W is too much for me as I get a burnt taste. How do they do it?

I dont think it can be the smoking causing your poor health, its the stress of all those women you live with:D
Best Wishes

Many thanks to you all for the good wishes. Living with 2 women in the house does create some stress but there is more money for treats for me and when one is away I still have my bed changed, food cooked and company if needed. Mind you I never watch the trash they do on TV.

I have learnt from several sources the mistakes people make when changing to E cigs. They buy the cheap ones with no control over the heat output, strength of nicotine content and air inlet. I was forever having a puff on my cheap one and almost went back to roll ups. Read up a bit and settled for a JAC with 1.2 Ohm coil and o.6mg nicotine. I use menthol with a touch of tobacco lite. I will try a fruity one  on my next order.

I checked out JAC's site and it's not clear to me what/if they are manufacturing. But they have some familiar brand like Kanger tanks which are nice although mine have cracked as I've dropped them on the floor, Novas are good enough to keep around as backups.
o.6mg nicotine
Amazing how different peoples' habits are. I use 36 mg/ml, 30 mg/ml would probably be ok and 24 mg/ml might work if the gear is setup perfectly. Anything below is way too weak for me. I buy in bulk and add flavour myself, pre-flavoured liquid is usually too strong and ends up clogging coils anyway. That's my theory anyway. I avoid tobacco flavour because the burnt taste is hard to distinguish between flavour and malfunctioning e-cig. I also avoid low-pH flavours like lemon and cola, they give me a sore throat. Right now I have black currant. In the past, watermelon and apple pie have been fantastic. It is very brand dependent.

Come on - no Yorkshireman in his life has admitted to having 200 quid. They'd revoke his passport immediately :)
