i use a free desktop TV Guide "tv-browser" i've used it for a few years now
it has 1000's of uk and foreign channels
you can get up to 3 listing weeks in front for country's like

Austria.Croatia.Denmark.Germany.Italy.Norway.Poland.UK.Swiss etc

you can set favorites up,reminders etc for other episodes in a series
set email reminders export to calendar etc
