I am going to have a go at cband and need a offset conical scalar ring is there any seller in the uk or europe of the scalar ring

Hello!
you mean a normal scalar ring, where you put your lnb in?
or you buy a new lnb, then usaly this scalarring is included!

i have one here,if you want,i can send to you!

Hi i have a prime focus scalar ring that came with the lnb but need a offset one to use on a offset dish if you see this site you can see the offset scalar ring _http://www.wsidigital.com/conical-scalar-ring-for-offset-dish.htm is this the type you have. Thanks

Hello Antenna 1!

yes,i have that item you looking for, complete with exotic cband lnb from rusia!
only the weather protection plate in front is missing but you dont need this!
the cone in front off, give you better signal performance, but only on ofset antennas!
not working on pfa!

i dont use ofsetantennas,only pfa!
this item is very rar,you dont find in europe,in german its called"trichterrillenfeedhorn"!

This works better then the consumer rings. Cost < $5

HellO!
Satcom!
where i can purchase this ?
how much is the diffrence?

I tested 49E on my 125c offset dish, in C band of course. My Qth has an advantage getting this bird. The power tp is TV Komi all other are lowes , and sure you not get TV2Denmark which has 7/8 fec)(-red

offset dishes are not so good for C band receptions unless you are in a good coverage

what was the bigest offset dish ever procuced?
to use this cone?
to geht optimeized performance
i only find mabo form poland with 1,86 m,

how, someone, can technicly explained, why this only work on ofset, but not on prime focus dishes?

Hi this is what i am looking for:) i sent you a pm did you get it thanks.

Largest one I know (and have worked with) is a 3.8m (four piece configuration).

Feeds are designed around the antenna design. A prime focus feed requires signals from what is effectively a deep dish, (up to 0.3 or 0.35 f/d) and so the scalar system is more efficient using a set of rings on a planar surface. With an offset dish (where the focal point is identical, but the antenna reflector is a fraction of the original template of the prime focus design) the needs of the feed are not only to receive the signals, but to reject the outside noise.
In this case a horn becomes a better collector of signal.
Please note the above is for microwave signals, once the frequency needs drop to below C Band, the yagi becomes a suitable candidate for efficient reception. On, and above Ku band frequencies, other direct means of receptor can be as good as a set of scalar rings.

You can't purchase this you can make it or have someone make it for you. I use springy roof flashing. Others go to their local printer and get flat aluminum sheets that are otherwise thrown away.

Typical is 6% SQ gain.

Hi!
we need exact shematic, and details of the size to make a clone of this!,otherwise,it looks like a imposible mission, that bring not the results we looking for!

Bit small that

Here's the real thing

and how to make one from scratch

bettet get a prim focus dish a d the results will be much better:cool:

Hi there!
when the size is the same,1,86m lets say,is there a realy big diffrence in cband, between pfa and offset?
i never tested this!

None at all, though I would be interested if the o/p comes back with proof of that claim.

Right got some sheet metal just need to know how do you make the rings in to a cone shape

Code:
None at all

THE PFA DISH IS MUCH BETTER if it has a f/d ratio between 0.41-0.43 !!!

Many manufacturer have deep pfa dishes with 0,36 f/d ratio and there are real garbage
4 exaample my 1,5m pfa dish has f/d=0,42 and performs really fine
