which cam?

I have a technomate TM 5500CI and would like to know which cam is better -irdeto or viaccess? Or is their a cam that can be used to accept a smartcard for either system

My Satellite Setup
Technomate 5402 HD M2 Ci, DM7000s, Transparent 80cm Dish, Moteck SG2100 DiseqC motor, lots of legacy gear. Meters: Satlook Digital NIT, Promax HD Ranger+ spectrum analyser.

Most of the multicams will accept either, see the CAMs and Decoders section. :)
