Hello members , have a question; look here with a fixed dish to Canal Digital. with a rotating dish to free to air. If I want to watch the other TV channels (transponders), which Ci-module should I have. Best regards

That will depend exclusively what services you want to watch! And many pay services these days do not have CI modules available - they require dedicated receivers. So decide what you want towatch then see if the appropriate CI module is available. Plus see if you are happy paying the appropriate subscription as the days of watching pay tv easily & for free with fancy modules are long gone - at least a decade past.

You will also find many services need CI+ modules, and not all equipment supports these.

What are you wanting to watch? Dont say "everything" - thats not possible......

This forum will only allow discussion of legitimate ways to watch pay tv services (so via subscription) so dont expect any discussions of hooky viewing - most of which is closed off these days anyway

How can I find it through : Lyngsat what I need.
On C-band and Ku-band and Ka-band.

Forget C-band - its barely used in Europe. Its got a few exotic South American channels on it but unless you speak Spanish they arent going to be of much interest AND need very big dishes. Ka also doesnt really carry any tv services.

Until you have a clear idea of EXACTLY what satellites you have access to & what you want we cant really help. Not all services are available in all areas either due to the use of shaped transmission beams.

So go on Lyngsat or Flysat and start searching the pay tv services & see what you like the look of. Hope you have lots of money if you want multiple services - this game can get VERY expensive very quickly!

For example a typical set up price for Sky Italy is currently nearly Eu1700 and needs the Sky Italy box rather than a CI module (Eu1500/year on renewal)

It's a bit like going to the car dealership and saying I want a car that does everything without providing any further context.

State your exact requirements. Are you going to lug kids to their school or logs to your cabin?

Reminds me of the irony that never gets lost on users who apparently want to cut the chord with pay tv providers yet end up subscribing to an “alternative service” and VPN upfront and run the risks associated with it.

So go on Flysat's Lyngsat and start browsing the pay TV services and see what you like about it.

Irdeto ,Conax ,etc,etc
Why would I do that you are the one asking all the questions?
I have found what I was looking for
But failed to inform anyone what that actually was, hence my question to you.

Finally, we have been able to establish the question by MrDish1
