Which Dreambox HD ?

Hi,
I plan to buy a HD dreambox but which one should I get?
Is there a difference between DM 800 HD and DM 800 SE?
What are sims and what do I need to know about them?

In my opinion I would go for the DM 800SE ver2. It has a faster Processor (400 Mhz as against a 300Mhz for the DM800HD). Also the OLED Display is colored. I believe also the Tuner is more sensitive.

Mentioning SIMS...These are clone Dreamboxes (having the SIM 2.01 Bootloader) made in china as opposed to the DreamMulti media Originals made in Germany. To be honest I never had a clone. Mine are all Originals, but having said that I am in no way belittling the clones especially now that they seem to have had their bugs ironed out. Clones are cheaper to buy.

I think Gigablue and VU+ are better or at least as good for less money. Dream Multimedia are facing stiff competition with the new faster boxes from others in part because Dreambox is expensive.

I will probably buy a clone since they are much cheaper.
What about the various images and tech support for a clone, which box would be better, I suppose which ever box is most popular would have the best support, is that true?
 
If you definitely want to go for a Dreambox go for a DM800Se with an A8P Sim so you will be able to use Genuine images. To be honest for the cost you may be better off looking for something like a Gigablue or one of the Octagon SF8 that he sponsor sells.

Instead of a clone DM, you might consider original VU+ or Xtrend, too.
