Why go from MR to MRev?

Hello again,

I have an MR cam and I am trying to understand what are the advantages of going from MR to MRev? Why would I need or want to do the switch?

You don't really need to at the moment. Most things are gettable on both MR 1.170 and MRev 2.21. There have been advantages in the past when only the revolutions firmware was available, but with the disadvantage of no card reading ability. Only convert your MR if you have CAS2 (or lappy) as with cards you can't get it back afterwards

I got today my Cas 2 (wooohoooo), bought from ebay....And I read that this could be done (my first update for my MR was through laptop though).

I won't update it to MRev I guess. Just wanted to find out first what are the advantages/disadvantages.
