Having recently started working in Gambia I would like to know if an Amstrad Sky digibox (model # not known) will work here to receive DSTV, obviously with the correct card
 
Unfortunately not

DSTV uses a different encryption to the embedded firmware, the CI interface in the Skybox is not active, and so a PCMCIA modue will not work
