Xilinx and Mrev cards???

Metronic receiver
While updating my Matrix Rev. card,I have noticed that the Cas2 Studio program mentions that there is a Xilinx chip that can be programmed. Could somebody tell me what this is, and does it need to be updated (as well as how often) with any software??
 
Leave it alone unless your CAM breaks, it carries the boot loader.

Hi Rolf

I messed up a Matrix Revolutions cam because I don't know what I am doing - with the XILINX button I hit and wiped what you call the boot loader. Do you know if there is a fix using my CAS2 interface - or where I can find an idiots guide to CAMs and thier uses?

AFAIK there is no Xilinx fpr Matrix Revolutions out there.
You can find the boot-loader for Matrix Reloaded and Magic Cam but not for MRev...

Maybe it is prossible to convert the MRev to MR by using the MR Xilinx-file. I can´t try it. Never got a MRev. Sorry.
 
Hi, I screwed my MRV and found a file called Rev_MLC2a.jed that fixed the problem. I used CAS Studio V5.2.1 and loaded the file using the Xilinx button.
Only try this if your MRV is dead.

Where did you find the Rev_MLC2a.jed file? It would be useful to know in case something goes wrong...
