As the title says what would your fantasy car be?

Mine is the French Mega Track - supercar with off road capability. Nearly 17 feet by 7 feet, 2+ 2 (with seats like luxurious arm chairs) 6 litre V12 (0 to 60 m.p.h. of 5.4 secs), ground clearance adjustable from 6 to 13inches.

Only problem there were only 5 made (for the rich Arab oil sheikhs) still can dream.
 
A realistic dream car, easy, Honda's new NSX (though I'd prefer a deep metallic blue colour myself):

As honda says on the description, it's powered by a twin-turbocharged 75-degree DOHC V6 engine coupled to a nine-speed dual clutch transmission (DCT) and three electric motors. Gawjuss... :D

Apart from the fact that I already live in a fantasy world.....I've always loved the look of this, a 1937 Cord.

One that drives like a dream, no road tax, doesn't cost a penny to run, as it runs on water, whilst they exist, there are still none in production, we must ask ourselves why?

High power sports cars do nothing for me, so my choice is a fully restored, as new mid 70s Veedub.

Any of them - Beetle, Camper van, or even one of the rarer 411 & 412's

Rarer because the brakes werent very good & many ended up with heavily damaged front ends!

Restored a rover p4 110 aunty armchair on wheels all leather interiar the smell and drive out of this world miss it bad now.

Had the pleasure of driving one of these babies around the Exotics Racing track in Vegas last year for 7 laps.
Super much fun, especially the growl of the V12 when flooring it on the straight side.

Not sure I would want it for anything for driving around test track, though. Comfort was mediocre, ergonomics seemed designed for Italian-built people rather than Nordic people (I'm 6 foot tall). Could not find a radio nor sat-nav.

But the acceleration was really, really, Really nice...

Not too long after, I was the passenger in a Tesla Coupe.

The acceleration was astounding. No, it was fear-inducing.
Never mind the Galliardo, the Tesla was gut-ripping when starting at the green light.
Hope the Exotics people get a Tesla for next year - I'd be eager to take it around a track at max speed...

So my dream car would be an electric one, with the endurance of my 1300 km/tank diesel Vw Passat...

You can get BMW and Mercedes hybrids that give you the acceleration of the electric, but with "proper" petrol for everything else...
Seems like complete BS to me. Forget the luxury segment, get into the real people's market here, and produce a decent performant hybrid electic car, with the mechnical longevity and reliability of a Volkswagen. I'd probably buy it! (and if governments had their act together, they'd cancel taxes on these things to promote green cars - but, ah, that would be rational long term thinking in politics; so not going to happen...)

Probably the reason why I've - still - a kit car in the shed based on aforementioned floorpan.

Planning to turn it into a mid engined thingy (got all the parts, most modified to fit), complete with 90's suspension and additional mods, just no time at the moment.

They do look the part once sprayed up.
