Thanks - if I ever manage to get my hands on one!
(everything is now all wired up to take it below the TV downstairs)

Yes, I will be ordering another...

Beware, make sure you order a genuine box, appears that someone is cloning this £18 box , Genuine software will brick a clone box.
ggg.webp

Beats me what the point of the cloning industry is: It must cost a fair bit to tool up and produce a copy of something that's already low in cost, so where's the margin?

Most of us are aware you can buy most genuine boxes in quantity at virtually throwaway prices from places like AliBaba.

As for ordering, well an unscrupulous seller will surely illustrate the genuine box, yet send a clone, so there's no guarantee that if you think you're ordering the real thing, you won't still end up with a dodgy one.

The cloning aspect is why I suggested posting images of the internals here, a rear panel spec change will probably be no real issue (they most likely come from the same assembly line) but component / processor changes on a pcb will be down to alternative sourcing or worse still, an earlier design that was dropped because of hard/software conflicts.

Any writing on the tuner chip ?

If you can peel off the processor heat sink - carefully - there should be some identifying marks there as well

Oooh, Sheffield Steel Fork. Nice.

Please dont post pics of the Yankee War Machine channels on 9E - we have had their legal teams hassling us in the past.

'Yankee' is probably not the best word under the circumstance.
