Hateful things. As if the bloated XenForo software wasn't slow enough as it is.

OTOH, I don't appear to be having that "sliding" problem with either Firefox or Chrome which I have to use to get all the editing and formatting options on my lounge laptop, whereas those all work with Firefox on my main PC.

The latter problem began after the previous upgrade to the forum s/w - but I can't be assed to try to fix it on the laptop!

Just noticed the sliding threads on my phone... Very distracting and slows everything down.

Spoke too soon as far as my main PC is concerned, because that "sliding - VERY annoying, distracting and UNNECESSARY

I was wrong about my laptop as that is now also "sliding" - @chris, PLEASE TURN IT OFF!

The sliding appears to work in IE11, Firefox and Chrome. Is there no escape?

Yes, please turn it off. What it the use of hiding information?
My first impression today "were is all the content gone? Only 4 threads left including one from 2020".
Then the annoying sliding kicked in.

Edit unless you mean the posts sliding in and out from the left when scrolling up or down?

I think I may have found another, but unrelated to the above, problem with the forum software.

I was trying to search the Dish Setup thread area and wanted to look at posts from mid 2020 - but each time I tried to "go back" one page or to a specific one of which I had entered the number, it didn't seem to do that and just showed a list of the most recent posts in that thread.

It wasn't doing that sort of thing last year.
