astra 1p 19.2e

During the night between 2:30 ~ 3:00, there were some power drops on some transponders. I doubt if these are changes in uplink emission or if they were transferred to the new Astra 1P.

Tpx-53 10773 H 1KR --> 1P ?
Tpx-55 10803 H 1KR --> 1P ?
Tpx-63 10921 H 1KR --> 1P ?
Tpx-33 10964 H 1L --> 1P ?
Tpx-13 11391 H 1L --> 1P ?
Tpx-15 11421 H 1L --> 1P ?
Tpx-23 11553 H 1L --> 1P ?

Unfortunately the weather conditions were not the best, there were continuous gusts of wind that altered the spectrum graphs. However I was able to take two stable images, depicting the spectrum before and after the changes, so I could compare them (image below).

From the measurements I just made, transponders 13,15,23 and 33 have changed satellite...
Unfortunately both the unfavorable weather conditions (gusts of wind), and the excessive proximity of 1KR to 1P, did not allow me to discriminate also transponders 53,55 and 63. In the next few hours, measuring the variations of the telemetry signals between Astra 1KR and 1P, when they will move away from each other, I will make a further measurement. Hoping that the weather conditions are favorable.

In the image, the overlapping of the spectra, of the deviations between east and west, with the alignment of the transponders I mentioned. I have marked with red arrows, those reported previously and black arrows those of Astra 1KR.

From this measurement taken at 17 UTC (18 Italian time), when all the Astra satellites were slightly distant from each other. By superimposing the image blurred by moving the disk slightly towards the west, with the one obtained by moving slightly towards the east, and aligning for power on the spectrum the txp 53,55,63,33,13,15 and 23, you can see that all the other transponders are no longer aligned... I can confirm that these transponders are on the new Astra 1P.

Ah good - the transponders under discussion are at a very similar power to the others at 19E here in south eastern Scotland :) Everything is down a bit on where it should be but most of the dishes are all needing some re-alignment after vicious gales blowing through in recent weeks. A job for a nice warm Spring afternoon! Lots of mugs of tea & replace most of the older lnbs with new ones plus careful realignments! :)

The 1P tps appear to be roughly 0.5dB down on some of the adjacent frequencies but goodness knows if thats caused by the dish misalignment.

I'm posting the current blindscan, with the gibertini 125 (120cm dish and LNB inverto pro quand).
Unfortunately I haven't done a blindscan in these days, I didn't expect Astra 1P to enter service so soon. In these days, I've been concentrating on taking measurements, to establish the various transponders from which satellite they were emitted, unfortunately on the various websites there are many discrepancies. And I had also only started the motorization of the spectra with the crazyscan...

Without claiming to know which transponder has been moved to Astra 1p (for that we have @Marcus_21, @hvdh, and others, to whom I thank), I'm just posting the signal and transponders currently activated in my area with the 0.85cm antenna.

Thanks Marcus for your dedication in observing activities on 19.2 deg east.

I think its worth to mention, that all the tps that you have observed to be switched on 1P are multiplexes from SES itself. As far as I know, some of these muxes are being uplinked from SES' own facilities in Unterföhring and Betzdorf.
Thus, as presumed, SES started transfer with a part of its own transponders before carrying on with customer multiplexes.

Thanks Marcos post over night I think ses wat finish 1kr 1l low band will be more tpx move soon keep on spectrum on

Between 04:00 and 06:00 UTC, there were movements on the following transponders:

Txp-4 11259 V 1KR --> 1P
Txp-8 11318 V 1KR --> 1P
Txp-34 10979 V 1KR --> 1P
Txp-38 11038 V 1KR --> 1P
Txp-42 11097 V 1KR --> 1P
Txp-44 11127 V 1KR --> 1P
Txp-46 11156 V 1KR --> 1P
Txp-62 10906 V 1KR --> 1P

In the next few hours I can confirm whether the transfers have actually taken place.

From the control at 15:00 UTC (16:00 Italian time), the deviation of Astra 1P compared to 1KR, but also from the other satellites of the fleet, begins to be evident. And I can confirm that they have been moved to 1P.

These are the spectrums recorded last night, where the signal drops during the transfers are highlighted.

I also attach a pdf file, of the transponders of the Astra satellites at 19.2°E, on which satellites they were located during the surveys of 12, 14 and 15 January.

At 3:00 UTC, transponders 10 and 11 (ZDF Vision) were switched over, and at 3:30 UTC, transponders 3 and 5 (ORF Digital). On the Astra 1KR satellite, only transponder 41 (Sky Deutschland) seems to have remained switched on.

Txp-3 11244 H 1KR --> 1P
Txp-5 11273 H 1KR --> 1P
Txp-10 11347 V 1KR --> 1P
Txp-11 11362 H 1KR --> 1P

In the late afternoon or evening, I will give further confirmation after the various checks.
