Drafted a template with my details on perhaps we could keep it this simple... Shoot cant upload word file bugger...... ignore this post

Finally - I found signal on 11023H here on the west coast of Norway :D.

The dish is 82x72cm with the LNB slightly off center on a multi LNB rail.

I used 11720H on Astra 2A to fine tune the dish - got 80% quality.

Terrific news! You're in Bergen, right? (Radøy here).
My dish is probably similar size to yours, old Finlux 80cm, and I can't get 11023 at all.
Was 80% on 2F after fine tuning?
An now feeling a bit more optimistic here!

dam you posted that as i was typing it up, but i added a few more things onto it with description of the infomation required

LOL!

We've simplified it ---------------- only the truly dedicated will be happy with a high level of detail and we want everyone to feel happy having their say.

11123H is on 2F the irish reports confirm it, as the beam provides substainal more power in ireland and coupled with the no reception reports in the east of germany etc then it 99.999999% confirms it 2F but we will never get offical confirmation until 1N is moved to 19E

There is nothing at all in Canary Islands on that. No a bit of a spike.

which means teh canaries island are unlikely ever to get 2f not sure what size dishes have been tried so far so cant say for sure all i will say is expect to lose channels as they switch over

Any other useful information

signal strengths, signal lost between X & Y hours etc can go into other info. We cant make it too intimidating or folk wont bother. Our regular contributors are already providing most of this info but we are trying to include those who maybe only visit the forum irregularly but want to chip in with their info too.

in the mornig at 5.30 am L=89% ,Q=18-45%
now at 12.13pm L=89% ,Q=18-32%
here is my antena

Is the low signal quality because the dish is too small or does it need more careful alignment?

Can you adjust it to see?

Terry

Several 3m dishes have been tried on 3 of the islands, without success. Nothing more than traces of the signal so far. If this trend continues then I would guess the Canaries will be looking at needing something around 5m dishes for successful reception

80% was initial fine tuning on 2A south beam (11720H).
Then 2F came in (just about) at 50% quality.

I have done some more fine tuning and have seen 70% quality on 2F

Might be a good idea to put the country in the list.

And I would suggest a 3 level reports No Signal, Signal with picture breakup, good picture.

Also I'm not sure about LNB, a lot of people won't know that.

Understand 8PSK modulation requires more power for stable reception so for comparisons with 1N transmissions would need to make sure compared transponder is also on 8PSK, e.g. 11023 compared with 10847

Hello!

The dish I have is a prime focus 120cm, and I made ajustments this morning. The 10847V tp, BBC ONE HD, BBC2, CH4, 5, USA 5 and ITV HD all now have L=99-100% and Q= 99-100%. Still there is no respons from 11023H.

As I have no sat.-meter, I need good advices what to buy and do. (Shetland west/ south west).

Regards

if you are getting 99% on 1n transponder and nothing on 2f it likely you wont pick it up, but the current 2f one is hd trasnponder so until a sd transponder and channels swithc it will be hard to say for sure

according to digitalfernsehen forum - dishworld.de reports of reception on Crete with 5m

I think cheap 3 Meter dishes will be for sale soon on the Canaries, ready to ship to Norway...

Do we have a town for that - me German isnt anywhere near good enough to trawl that forum!

But early in a morning we can nearly get 11023 h but there is not a thing on 11123H that is reported to be on 2F.

With all due respect, IF the report is reliable, then putting a "5m. map-marker" on the island of Crete would be accurate enough, bearing in mind how far away, south and east, from to the published spot-footprint it is.

Anyway we will all know on Sunday afternoon, late. Why then? Well that's the very moment when Sebastian Vetel drops his clutch on the Brazilian Grand Prix grid. :-ohcrap

11053 is still working fine. It's not changed to 2F it's still on 1N.

I read it had changed but for sure not.

11053 still strong and fine. For sure it's still on 1N.

Can anyone confirm 11123h is actually there look at the picture here.
Nothing.
