However this all changed when I met my late wife. Lunch became sandwiches and we had a cooked meal of an evening, which was dinner. Incidentally, the French like to have their main meal at 'lunchtime' and just a snack of an evening...maybe this explains shops being close for two hours in the middle of the day..

Same in Russia. It's the healthier way to fill yourself up in the middle of the day when you still have a chance to burn it all off and not in the evening when you just go to bed to store your recently consumed meal in form of fat.

The ..yorkshire puds ...we're big & mighty ?...yesterday ...thanks to the brill "James Martin " recipe ...anyway .....back down to earth today ...with a standard lunch........a rather dull tuna & salad cream sandwich.... :-( .....

Just removed an unwanted built-in Dishwasher (successfully!) and now chomping Egg & Cress Butties in my own homemade White Bread with some Grains in.

Still available... even a "healthy" option is available, though they don't print any nutritional values on the tins!

I always do the Sunday lunch, my wife works the weekend, chicken for us today, and a nice homemade curry with the left overs for tomorrow.

Our Roast is always in the evening, but SWMBO is doing me a Mature Cheddar & Onion Pie for lunch. The smell is already making me drool.

Onion..... Not a huge fan. Live the curries though! Shame SWMBO doesn't like anything too spicy...

That sounds nice G :), I might give that a go :), we have ours late due to the wife's work, and me liking a few beers after picking her up before we eat;), my wife does not drink,

But I might be able to take her with me this lunch she's a blade and wants to watch the match, no bt sport in my house:(, I guess they will be plenty of feeds but it will be messing with my 2 hour drinking time, my local has the match on.

we are having leaks, bacon and garlic in creme fraiche on a bed of spaghetti today, going to have a roast midweek. my grand parents always had supper at 9pm just before bed! usually bread and cheese with a cup of tea.

And here is my end result, I need a little practice on my Yorkshires . some Poop and were good to go :). right I will go and wash up now:(.

They look ok, those Puds Martin: I do little ones like that when we have Brisket and also make big ones as a standalone lunch (With Garlic and Onion Poop).
