I use Media Player Classic and codec ...

As do I. The version I downloaded is MPC-HC (HC for home cinema apparently) and I think that it's a replacement for ordinary MPC.

Tried foobar and didn't like it. Vlc or kodi is my windows choice.

I mostly play the flac streaming from my nas drive to a pioneer N50 plugged in to the hi-fi
