ref is this lnb good with Gibertini dish size 150cm?

Got the single and twin.

Initial testing the high gain twin on the 125cm and 28e, first impression is excellent. Quality levels went up to 'never seen before', some %'s better than my previous bests (Maximum XO), & much better than the regular BU Quad I've tried previously. Will be interesting later today when the normal evening level fade sets in.

Great stuff 4wd.......spending your time and money to test stuff out for yourself..,,,,.thats what i would do/did ....as LNB performance on the spot beams does seem to depend on location.....Good luck....

Looking forward to your evening results........!

The ultimate test here is getting BBC 4 HD on 2G without breakup, and the Ultra HGLN twin is delivering. Did a short HGLN single test, similarly good. So far excellent, the twin is staying on the dish.

Maybe just a few %'s better than other lnb's tested, but these %'s are crucial when the levels 'go away' in the evenings here. If it is for some Astra 19e reception (or daytime 28e) any old lnb would do, but for 28e fringe uk beam the small lnb differences & %'s makes all the difference in practice. So looks like I can still postpone getting a bigger dish for a while more.

Will come back to this with an update after some days in use, shifting weather\rain\snow.

Could explain why the IBU singles have gone downhill of late, to make room for their new kid on the block

Fringe reception on Astra 28e uk spot beams is also null zone dependent.

125 gibby astra 2e uk spot, tried numerous lnbs ( ibu single and quad, ivacom twin ( waste of time and money ) triax quad, maximum quad and single XO etc etc etc.

Get signal astra 2e uk spot until ~1750cet when it does its daily wobble, then resort to streaming.

Clearly more metal required but find streaming much cheaper:D

Central southern norway close to the first ( pinch of salt ) null.

4wd, is this really a new model of IBU or a rebranding with the HGLN (High Gain Low Noise?) added?

I have an old one here. It has "High Gain Low Noise" on the label.

A few days of use. Twin 28e, single 9e. Both giving a few more % Q than anything else tested, nothing revolutionary in terms of numbers, but adding a few crucial %'s for 28e uk evenings, and for 9e French hd's in very bad weather.

Both clearly better than the bu quad's I've got (which had problems with marginal levels), the single and twin seems to churn out a picture from the last bit of useable signal. Excellent.

Argh! Happiness never lasts ;O)

The Inverto twin suddenly got a constant drop in V level output, H fine. Tested on several tuners. Still fine for strong transponders (28e europe), but the V UK's going down the drain. Fitting back the Maximum xo twin the V's came back fine.

I suppose just bad luck with this particular unit, am still planning to order a few more of those BU twins.

Hi - @4wd -
Had similar issues in the past with a Inverto BU twin - mine went a bit weak on both V and H :(

so went back to a single BU ultra - after finding that a C120 black pro twin + feed - that i used for a while was good --- but was completely missing some frequencies ??

Its not put me off them though .... iv just fitted another BU ultra twin again recently , as they are not that expensive, and to be honest along with the single , give me the best all round performance on my 1.8 C.M. offset:)

I´ve found that the IBU singles miss some frequencies, did post it on installing dishes in Spain thread, I think!
Will have a look to see if I can find it later, but I have noticed it in the past.

Tho the single IBU is a good one ..!
My experience with the many Inverto LNB products I tested (Pro ,quad /Quattro /C 120 etc )has just been disappointment after disappointment ..total waist of money.!
There are many other better twin or quad LNB's available out there....
Best avoid anything with Inverto written on the box......unless it's a single IBU ..!

Totally agree having used numerous brands and variants of LNBs for fringe reception @ 28e astra 2E from my location, this was one of the better ones, but the midget maximum single xo on my gibby 125 easily beats the competition and much cheaper.

Just my opinion.

I have to agree with that actually, the single has been the only one I've been happy with for weaker signals.

If I need more than one output then I go for an Opticum LQP 04 H quad, which I think you brought to my attention a few years ago.

Hi - Thanks Clown man ... Just ordered one of these to try on the 1.8 offset -- as the price is right and fringe reception is the area in which i like to play ... :)

must say that the new IBU twin is showing equal results to the single IBU that it replaced...so far ......l.o.l.
but as i say i,v had reliability issues with some inverto,s in the past.

will be more than happy if the Opticum beats it on this dish ;)

although i,v good results in the past with inverto,s on the 1.8 CM .... its not the same my 1.2 Channel master dish .. other l.n.b. setups have out performed them .......
