I have watched all UK channels without issues for the past 15 or so with the 1.5mt dish, even the HDs. Only suffered lower signal around the spring equinox. This year it's different.
Signal gone, for months now. I have never seen such a prolonged low signal since I set up the dish some 15 years ago, every year around Spring it decreases but this time looks like thye've lowered it for good.
Never seen so many signal drops as this year. The usual signal drop in the beginning of Spring okay, but this is year is dramatic, signal keeps dropping, kinda worrying.
I have just changed my LNB and bought an Ultra Black again, maybe next time I'll try Invacom, Fracarro, or MTI if they're better for cross-polarisation.
I personally have lost ITV HD, BBC4 HD, BBCnewsHD, and 4Seven, all the rest seems fine.
Dear me now that website says 2E is at 28.6169, is that the reason behind the recent worsening of the signal? I know other people in my area have had crap signal too lately so it's not just my set up, is Astra 2E moving? Is it temporary flotation of some sort?
That's reassuring and it's just what I thought, I just notice it's a lot crappier than last year, 2E in particular.
Luckily this signal deterioration doesn't happen before winter but after spring when the weather improves otherwise I'd have no signal all winter.
Hope it improves soon as I lost...
Sorry but I'm not clear about this, so the satellite has moved, should I have my dish realigned, or better, re-crosschannelled? Is this a temporary thing?
