    Strange thing is, double glazing doesn't actually make that much difference to insulation. You can get half the benefits just by draughtproofing around the edges of the window (and Edinburgh sash n case windows are usually really badly draughtproofed in most rental flats), for maybe ten times...

    If it's a Skystar2, they're fine with Vista. Just install the latest beta drivers and everything works (including motors).

    I've also got one of those type of kits off ebay, although mine was a Triax TD88 dish with the Moteck 2100. Works really well with the SS2 when you understand its quirks (install driver 4.4.0, use the mibi ***** at dvbskystar with ssdiseqc).

    The hackers must have been working overtime, cos D+ and Cabo are open also. TPS seem to have given up on any halfdecent encryption.

    Sorry, didn't realise the difference. Nothing on 12525V or 12649H, not a peep. Must be quite a bit weaker transponders? Astra beam map says 47dBW for me, and normally I'm fine down to 43/44. Correction, my positioner is off by 0.6 degrees (strange as it's spot on for all other sats). Anyway...

    Borderline in Edinburgh with a 88cm motorised. It's 100% quality in current cloudy weather, but only just - move it 0.2 degrees either side and it plummets. I suspect if it was raining it wouldn't be watchable.

    Proggies like vplug automate the TPS key update - when you select the server, it downloads the latest key. Totally transparent. On 19E, D+ is also open, which has masses of free premiership/spanish football, films, Fox (Sky One equivalent) etc. Only tends to last a few days though, so if you...
