Solved the problem. The card slot was just sticky. I pushed the card in an out a few times and it started working! The ART card was slightly slimmer than the SLY which gave me the idea. Sorry for any inconvenience.

I have put an old ART sports card in the reader, and it is recognised, so the physical reader is okay. Must be a problem with the newcs_166. Does this version work with White cards? My boxkey is definitely correct as I tried both the 17 digit on the barcode and the 10 digit in the sly box...
