RTE In the UK - Can you help?

It's been an issue since Sky changed from the blue viewing cards to the new white ones - ROI activations happen without the Irish channels. Sky can sort this manually, once you call them, but it has to go off to their tech department.

No, just say your phone line wasn't working when the engineer came, and it still isn't. You've called BT to come and get your phone line fixed but they're taking ages.. bla bla. Sky will manually enable your card, fixed the Irish channels problem, and bob shall be the brother of your mother.

IIRC, this has been an issue for new ROI installs since the introduction of the new white Sky viewing cards. I think it's because the card is not paired / activated properly. Since you can't complete a New Installation yourself, with callback, since you're now in London - get on to Sky and see...

As I said piggs, just add an A to the number. Like, 12 Rivercourt becomes 12A Rivercourt. That is fine. Also, don't call Sky, email them. When you call them they try their hardest to talk you out of anything that doesn't involve them charging you. Remember, you are self installing when you...

RTE In the UK - Can you help?

It's very simple, I don't know why others have been so complicated about it. All you have to do is subscribe to Sky at your UK address. Get whatever package you want, minimum, full or anything in between - it doesn't matter. Let Sky come and install a dish and box for you. Go via...

RTE In the UK - Can you help?

Not quite. RTE channels are neither FTA nor FTV. A subscription is required. If you live in the UK and have an out of contract SKY box and card, but want RTE, you can do this: 1. Remove your out of contract UK card and put it to one side - this is now an FTV card, needed for CH4, five, five US...
