    23mm LNB vs 40mm

Interesting answer, thanks I was looking at this LNB for multifocus dish : in 40mm : LNB Straight Feed E-TRONIX 40mm https://www.2galli.fr/lnb-single-40mm-source-etroite-wispy-octagon,fr,4,OSLSO.cfm in 23mm : LNB single 23mm Multiconnect LNB SINGLE 23mm VISIOSAT Does the 23mm feed reduce...

    23mm LNB vs 40mm

Has the LNB's diameter any incidence on the LNB efficiency. A seller told me that 40mm LNB are better. At 10.7GHz (lowest Ku frequency), the wavelength should be equal to 2.8cm, so 23mm should be insufficient ?

    LNB questions

Thanks Terryl, but in what this Chapparral LNB differs from the Telefunken I have which also cover 10.7/12.75 GHz band ? How about my initial question about dish size vs lnb noise/gain. In the real world I understand that lnb are close in characteristics so there is no replacement for size, but...

    LNB questions

Why this Chaparral LNB differs from mine ? Does the term universal lnb mean that both outpouts are independent ?

The ports will work indepently (for exemple one high/vertical and the other low/horizontal) or not ? Previous posts seem different

    LNB questions

I have a Telefuken labelled as a "twin LNB for one satellite and two receivers". I would like to know if the two outputs are independent, ie if one can receive 10.7GHz and the other 12.75GHz What about the noise figure, some claim 0.2dB, others 0.1dB, are these numbers only advertisements ? I...

    Low cost dish

Thank you very much for the links, very helpful for me. I'm very surprised by the prices. A Jonsa dish is sold $20 in China vs thousands euros for Elite dishes. I know one is thin steel vs aluminium, but metal prices are the same around the planet. After all, these dishes are only moded metal...

    Low cost dish

Thanks for your help. The dish I was looking for is a solid dish, close to the petal fortec star dish but with a polar mount. The price is very attractive even with the shipping cost, but there is no door Delivery, that is my problem with this seller. What are other manufacturer of 2.3m...

    Low cost dish

I will stay with Ku band first, which gives me the best resolution (beamwidth) and gain, then try lower frequencies. The shipping cost is "only" $400, but the problem is that the dish will arrive and stay in a port. Then I will have to go and pay duties until there. There is the same dish on...

    Low cost dish

It will be used for radioastronomy. It will be protected from wind and rain I'm concerned by the dish surface accuracy though.
