    Dreambox 8000 for sale yet?

I think you have the mechanism back to front... HDCP is employed at the source (PC, BD, PS3, etc) to ensure that the device it is sending to (TV, Monitor, etc) is secure - this is what the handshake is authorising. If the handshake fails not then the source either refuses to send data at all or...

    end of Gemini?

Busybox + Enigma are published under GPL but the drivers and the all important boot loader are NOT. This is the bit developed by Dream and which the updated Dream driver wiped on 'D' day - all the GPL/Open source code was untouched. Harsh maybe but justified.

    end of Gemini?

Bad example...Have you never changed your CPU, HDD or network card then? XP and Vista will BOTH refuse to boot unless you phone the M$ help line and beg a new code...

DM Web Site updated for HDTV...

Know the feeling well. My UK DB supplier tels me the estimated release date is now intended to be end of March - with a caveat not to hold my breath ;). The DM team are attending ANGA Cable at the end of May - If they havent managed to release by then I suspect they will really suffer O-no.

    USALS/GotoXX

GotoXX has always worked here - I guess it it because when I installed the dish/rotor I spent ages getting it spot on. Manual positioning can overcome a slightly misaligned dish - it only needs to be a fraction of a degree out for gotoXX not to work reliably. I used to use Hydra and now use...

    DM7000 Network Interface Issue

The annoying thing is that everything else works OK. e.g. I use DreamVCR to set/edit recordings, WSFTP to copy files TO the DB, streaming to dreamTV is OK, etc. It just crashes after 20-30Mb when when I copy files off... . I'm guessing it is a HW issue as this is a VERY early revision...
