Well there's still IPTV to address this 'insular' madness..
Personally I'm still watching all BBC and ITV channels right now, if they want a war against Spain and continental Europe new solutions can always be found.
Yes but this still is relative to the current fleet of Astra 2.
What I was trying to find on the web, was news about SES ordering new satellites to replace them, but can't find any.
Yes, but which ones could SES redeploy at 28 E if no replacement is commissioned? The current Astra 1 satellites at 19E, soon to be replaced, are even older than those at 28 E
But isn't It too risky for a pay tv with so many subscribers to rely on a MEV mission or a single satellite with no backup?
In my opinion, Sky would require at least two new satellites at 28.2 E to renew its contract with SES.
You explained it perfectly, Kabelio doesn't have a legal problem, their issue could be a commercial failure but if Satback is taken off Intelsat, the BBC would give them a big help in getting new potential customers
Interesting that the BBC removed all SD services to save a few quids, but is happy to spend taxpayers Money on these tests and possibly replacing the professional equipment needed to receive a different modulation
