I was thinking about upgrading my Sky box to a + or HD. Second hand HDs look tempting, however I don't want the expense of the HD subscription. Would a SkyHD box still get BBC HD and any other free HD channels without the HD subscription to SKY? According to SKY they won't, but I don't trust...

Thanks! I tried the factory reset, thought it went wrong when it stuck on a black screen. Power + Up & Down appears to have solved that. The fun bit is going to come tomorrow when I take the dish and motor down. It looks like I'll need an angle grinder on some of the nuts.

I find my Dream box is just sitting there un-used, so thought I may as well sell it. What is the best way to remove everything I've put on it? I've already decided to just remove the HD, but what about the flash? Can it be cleaned so none of my settings are retrievable?

Try downloading the Twinhan PCI drivers. I had more luck with them, plus their software is better.
