Just as a PS, I have done a little bit more reading and unless I have misunderstood, it would be very easy to fit a cheap and cheerful £5 internal diseq switch at the point where the 2 feeder cables would connect to the internal distribution box, assuming I have a receiver with a diseq switching...

I have a very elderly (20 years or so old !) dish that I think is 80cm, although it may be a little larger (I am not easily able to access it in order to measure it). It has an equally elderly twin LNB that seems able both to pick up Astra 1 signals. I would like to be able to receive both...
