Lacuna Sat Meter Yellow sky digital meter

I think the site is "w**.metersupport.co.uk" here you can find the latest software, pin diag for the interface, a loader program and an editing program. I downloaded the latest data set then put the list into the editor to remove the ones I'll never need before loading the "created" file into...

    Prime Focus set-up

Yeh I realise that the c band feed horn is no use, you could probably get a Ku one inside it.....:) Still one question not answered though, just where ecactly do we mesure the focal length to. bearing in mind the dimension is in millimeters, and the LNB/feedhorn assembly is quite long, just...

Thanks for the formular, thats great.... but where do we messure to? is it the front of the feedhorn? (most likley i think) or some imaginary point along the wave guide to the LNB?

    Prime Focus set-up

Hi all. Some of you will already be aware of my saga chasing a decent dish and the result is that I now have a 1.8 mt pf dish. The next problem is that the last owner was using it for C band so I have to make a LNB hoder. My question........ when I clamp the feedhorn and LNB together it has to...

I can confirm Rolfw's thoughts with practical experience. I can get hispasat from my partners family home in Poprad on a 90cm dish.

    Astra 3A

Nice one Lancelot.... Thanks for the phone call. Yes I won it and will pick it up ASAP. What about an LNB. As its PF it needs something better than a bog standard universal doesn't it?. What is a "chapperal corator two" and is it any use to me? I have a brand new smart 0.2 LNB on my office desk...

    setting up my system aagain

Just a thought, and you have probably checked it already ...... the Fortec will shut down the lnb voltage if shorted, but will re-set and work again when mains has been removed for a minute or two. Have you pulled the plug out? simple idea but worth a thought. Martin

    setting up my system aagain

Had a problem in Slovakia when I was asked to look at a motorised system that wouldnt turn i got a shock of the "f" plug to the motor. when checked out i found the f plug on the receiver was badly fitted and shorted. Quite a tingle :-))

    Astra 3A

So I have looked at the various specs and the gibertini boasts gain figures almost the same as the triax 110. the fortec 1.6 and 1.8 boast figures identical to the channelmaster figures for the same size so what am i to believe. simply the fortec does not achieve? What sort of gain figure do you...

    Astra 3A

There are some FTA on Slovak link so you should get those, they are relativly new transponders though and may not be in your receivers list. I had to add them. Long hours this week, I will play with mine again at the weekend. If you are getting Astra 3 on same signal as Astra 1 in Bristol then...

    Astra 3A

Every picture tells the story doesnt it.... maybe I should take down my triax 1.1 and fit the gibertini in its place. 3A does fall off rapidly though, I am about 70 miles north and thirty west of reading. The claimed gain figures arn't that different so i guess they are mesured with perfect...
