Astra 2E: Iberia & Balearics Reports

It wasn't a bird landed on your LNB arm? I had that problem...

Astra 2E at 28.2E: General Discussion Part 2

Does anyone know if or when 28A TPs are moving to 2E? Will it be next week?

Yes - Tooway satellite Internet with its UK IP address is my friend ;) ...and the good red wine is cheap too (hic).

Yes, apologies for that - indeed it seems that we have had very heavy rain here which knocked out those TPs even though I am right in the middle of the target area! I think the dish must be off target slightly too.

Hi Steve. I think movies4men, Al Jazeera Egg and Euronews seemed to be off. Maybe it's my dish...

It looks like 12633 H is off air Edit: also 12663 H off air - both on 2F, although it may be my dish as it's incredibly windy outside !

Perhaps 2A is in pretty poor condition, forcing the decisions that have been made?

Caz, that last bit of your data for today looked a bit ominous with a downturn that seems different to the previous days. How is the signal looking now?

...and there was I thinking that my new 1m dish that I put up on Saturday had made a vast improvement to reception! It's difficult to know what the improvement is, but if the signals stay high maybe it won't matter. Anyway, at my location 40km east of Toulouse, 4seven is my weakest 2f...

I have the Opticum quad, which seems to work well in SW France. I'm not sure why, but it may be linked to the way the lnb can handle strong signals from 1n transponders right next to the weaker transponders from 2f. This might explain why some people seem to be OK with smaller dishes while...

    Astra 2F: Western Europe Discussion

Well, that's my theory blown out of the water! I have a Pace 2600 at my place 40km east of Toulouse and that seems to be working fine with all the available channels on 2F. I was forced to do a hit-and-miss re-aiming of the dish after a big bird had landed on the arm of the dish causing the...

    Astra 2F: Western Europe Discussion

Alec, Just a thought - are you using your Foxsat in non-Freesat mode? If so, have you tried it in non-Freesat mode to see if makes a difference? I'm just wondering if the Sky boxes that are working nearby have different transponder settings compared to the ones sent from the Freesat epg...

    Astra 2F: Western Europe Discussion

First time back in France after the channels shift to 2F and I was looking forward to checking ITV and Channel 5 reception straight away. First thing I noticed when I arrived was my dish pointing at the ground. The only cause I can think of is a big bird of prey deciding to use the LNB arm as a...
