I think, a few people have mentioned the blind scan above as not being the best - the T2MI - i am not sure

What firmware do you use at the moment? I think vix, atv or another few where available. Just happy with one that will cover multi stats (up to 6) and the iptv apps

I will look into this and check what's the best firmware, if i can use more than one

Thanks for the information many people have commented on the blind search and it looks like the octagon is better by a little bit. I am think in this price range battle between them 2, the blind search was not going to be the best compared to expensive higher Vu+'s!

Many thanks for this as a few other house jobs took over and got delayed in buying. But this of most help as a few people have commented on the Vu+ blind search and the octagon has a few things going for it. I can get a twin lnb for the tuner a & b for the octagon for 28e! Cheers

Cheers for that, The diseqc question answered, helps to narrow things down a bit. The image will play a big part in the loading of apps, current setup had openli image! I will look into what the Oct works with and check if I have used any of them before

Well chaps, 9 years on, it was time, it came down. Got my money's worth playing around with the T90 dish. T55, I am guessing comes with 5 holders, so will look to downgrade to 5 sats!. The smart lnbs, were well faded and covered in green slime as was other bits all around the dish. All sadly...

Hi All, Hope all are well, Time to take down the T90, going to downgrade to a T55 smaller model and make some space on the wall. Also at the same time clean up all the wiring and update my aging Vu+ Uno box too! Will post updates on the move

I better start checking the specs and see what's changed and see if the extra money is worth it. 16/1 switch started to play up and checked it over. Somehow its managed to get water into it from the downpours we had the other day. Lets hope it will dry and work, if I unplug and dry it indoors!

So little in it for upgrades in tech, so would swapping the tuner to twin, would that change much in performance or will the speed decrease in switching channels etc.
