Hello, I have Cas2 but even with that I cannot initialize my MR cam, loaded with either mr or mrv. The sure way by which I always initialize my cam is by using my laptop. Only then does my cam initialize. Harman

Hello, I searched around to find any recent posts talking about channels you can get on Astr@ with MR. Anybody knows or uses such a setting ? Thanks.

1. U need the following driver pcmciap (for xp it the file goes by xp_pcmciap). 2. U will also need another driver going by the name dvbcamd. (the following advice helped me a lot when I installed the drivers. I found this online in some text file from the DEN. Don't uninstall the drivers...

No specific reason for updating with laptop. I was trying both Cas 2 and laptop, and then it happened that I correctly got it when I updated with the laptop. But of course it could be done with Cas 2 as well. Harman

I followed the suggestions I found around. After updating the cam I put it in the laptop slot again....this I guess initializes the cam before I insert it in my NW7000UCAS. To make sure it is initialized I also put the cam in my CAS 2 and the cam was successfully detected. I then took it out of...

Have the same problem with my newwave 7000ucas. LAst time I updated cam to 1.170 and it took me a while until the receiver recognised the cam.... now I updated the cam with 17/03/2005 file and can't initialize it. Any idea? Harman

Thanks for the info daveenty! I got today my Cas 2 (wooohoooo), bought from ebay....And I read that this could be done (my first update for my MR was through laptop though). I won't update it to MRev I guess. Just wanted to find out first what are the advantages/disadvantages. Thanks again.
