    Problem with V-box

The "E2" message means the VBOX is trying to drive the motor but doesn't receive any pulses. A couple of reasons for this could be: - You have reached a limit switch - Motor cabling is not working properly - Sensor cabling is not working properly - The sensor is too far away from the magnetic...

    Feed difference?

Raindrops and snow will not accumulate so easily on the black plastic cover. Furthermore any water or snow that resists falling off it will be away from the phase center of the horn and should degrade reception less than if it was just on front of the horn as with the membrane version. The black...

I am in sweden and want to buy a SKY UK card with movies, sports and indian channels

The UK Zee Network channels can be legally subbed from anywhere in Europe as long as you can receive them. No need for BskyB brokers. On top of that, the BskyB brokers usually only offer the four standard UK or Irish Sky subs as far as I have seen...

    Inverto vs Invacom

In my case the Invacom is better on Horizontal transponders and the Inverto is better on Verticals. There seems to be one possible reason for this: -The back probe in the Invacom is Horizontal -The back probe in the Inverto is Vertical Back probes have a 100% closed wall behind them whereas...

Help to tune for C-Band Chanels in 600PVR

Option two is really only needed if the receiver cannot be configured for a LOF of 5150MHz. The C vs. fake Ku band frequency math only fools the tuner to tune the right IF frequency with a Ku-band frequency input. C and Ku band only exist in the LNB, the same downconverted frequency band is used...

Help to tune for C-Band Chanels in 600PVR

Set the LO frequency for the corresponding lnb to 5150MHz You may need to tag the "INV" option if you try to do a manual transponder scan. My DM500S is a bit tricky to get going on C-band, perhaps since IF frequency is calculated inversely (LO is higher than received frequency). This next...

    D500-s Skins

Why not D/L some skins directly from the DM-500 addon server using the blue-button menu? That is safe and very easy. The Generation-skins you find there are very nice in my opinion

    CNN leaving 19E analogue?

Yes, I'm sure at least 15 more phone-s_x promo channels with semi-lousy picture quality will fit in there nicely... On the other hand a couple of nice HD-channels could fill each shutdown analog transponder void too. Guess we will soon know, my point was that quantity isn't always a...

    CNN leaving 19E analogue?

Sad news indeed, but still available in C-band on Badr-C for the die-hard analog enthusiast. I can't get it there because my analog tuner can't handle the inverse video used on C-band but perhaps others are luckier. Badr-C is very strong here and a 120cm prime focus dish is enough to pick it up.

LNB Help - 23mm/25mm Collar in Europe

If you buy an angled MTI LNB (many other possible brands too) and split up the plastic housing (don't touch the white protective cap) you will have a cast-aluminium LNB with 23mm neck. Works fine!

    More BADR/Eurobird 26e

Ok, I am just curious if it measures absolute signal level only or if it can measure C/N as well.

    More BADR/Eurobird 26e

Karism, what is that "little meter" you are talking about? A so called satfinder that you put inline in the LNB to receiver cable run or something more elaborate?

    More BADR/Eurobird 26e

Karis, with those signal levels I assume you are measuring signal levels on the IF (LNB output). Again this is really telling you nothing about reception quality, just how much total gain the LNB has which isn't the same at all. You need to measure carrier to noise (C/N) or signal to noise (S/N)...

    More BADR/Eurobird 26e

Yep, it is a steady 3dB weaker than most other Badr-4 transponders here, i need a 2.4m dish to get it. The normal Badr-4 TP's were receivable with 1.8m. Possibly they just run the MBC transponder on reduced output, who knows? And for Nilesat 7W: I get the MBC's 24/7 with a 1.2m prime focus so...
