    How many LNB's on a DB7000-S ?

Hi Dreamers :-) I am thinking of getting a torroidial dish, like a WaveFrontier, where you can have loads of LNB's. My main question is; Is there a limit on how many I can switch from DB7000-S? Can you get a 10-1 DiSeCq switch etc. if so can the DB switch it? Or am I limited to 4 say? I use...

Images on USB Flash or Hard Disk?

Where is the better place to put image files for multiboot DB's? USB flash or hard disk - I have both, 512Mb USB and 80Gb hard disk. I use FW-Pro to upload and manage images. Just wondering if theres pros to using the USB flash over the hard disk (which is where I am currently storing images)...

    Newcamd-NDS/VG on 1.09 & Gemini 106?

Newcamd-NDS/VG with 1.08 in flash and Gemini 105 works so very well (with an activated card etc) (so I hear!), but does it also work with 1.09 in flash and Gemini 106? Anyone tried/succeeded where I am failing? Any pointers or suggestions? PS: Whoever and where ever you are - Good work!

    Snr Agc

Beg, borrow or buy a satellite meter, invaluable for setting up a dish, you'll find the sats much *much* easier. I use mine all the time tweaking the odd +/-0.5% signal on 7W ... Dependant on what dish size you have, you may have to be more accurate with your pointing, bigger dish needs to be...

Gemini image and updating C*ms and k*ys

Thanks folks (chuckles et al) It looks like the download->k*ys reads live data (if the DB on an internet connection...), so no need to update anything - unsure what PP is or what it does (still) ... had time to play this evening .... :-)

    Wireless network through PCMCIA/CAM

Do not plug a PCMCIA card into the CAM slots ... WiFi can be provisioned using the USB socket on the back of the DB. It works well (unlike a PCMCIA wlan card in the CAM slot, you will break soemthing doing that ...)

Gemini image and updating C*ms and k*ys

OK, thanks, thought (hoped) that might be the case as it was a bit of a pain manually updating the cpanel each time. I guess I will think gemini will be a pain when my internet copnnection goes down .... In that case can someone confirm that k*ys are dated 01-02-05 (ie. qutie old!), and newcamd...
