    if you used one receiver, yes you need to used a diseqc, to avoid hasstle when using manual switch..and only one cable running fron your dish to your receiver...

    Do Smartcards Work In Any Receiver?

    yes it is possible that it wont work with other receivers, like the smart card for orbit satellite, it wont work in other receivers. but as far as i know the card for filipino channels 5degrees, work with the eurostar receiver.
