Thanks for the kind words fellas! Originally I actually had it lower as you might have seen from the old holes in the photos but subsequently moved it up as a result of it being a bit of a hazard. I understand totally where you are coming from though. The house is a typical Irish concrete block...
So after lots of planning, research and almost three years  I eventually have a system I am happy with.
Last June I got my motor and put up the brackets and bar only for to have raise them up higher after my father nearly knocked himself out on it one dark evening as it was a bit low! As...
Ok fellas I am preparing for some spending and need your advice!
I have a _http://www.satellite.ie/acatalog/Moteck_Diseq_Motor.html already but need a receiver, I want to go High-Def (1080p or i) and I want a good receiver for driving the motor.
I want the receiver to be able to take cams for...
Would you have a web link to one on the net. Are Saturn or Media Markt in Lithuania? I have never been there so am not familiar with the big electronics stores. I have a friend going out to Vilnius this Month and I would get him to bring me back one. $80 is a good price and I have seen them for...
Apparently if you cool the LNB to extremely low temperatures it will pick up far more signal and thus enable a smaller dish to pick up signals usually reserved for a much bigger dish size. I saw it on Dr. Dish Network TV, the links can be found here IIRC. There have been reports from the Nordic...
US TV has been caught on the far western tip of Ireland on a large satellite dish a few times. It is the thread above this one. There is a service for the US Army in Europe but I 'd suppose it is propriety to the US Military.
Man if I was in Korea I'd be worried if it ever gets invaded again the first place they'll head for is your place to set up a Communication Hq! Some serious investment too I'd imagine, fair play! :-worship:-worship
Great news, I think I will opt for the Moteck so as they seem to get good reviews plus alot of places sell them unlike the STAB, (the STAB is also more expensive).
What positions did you pick up compufunk? and what size dish had you attached when you tested it? (if you can remember!)
And...
Thanks for the speedy reply robbo, I have seen alot of Moteck motors and some sites claim they are the best. However would a Moteck motor do the same as the STAB USALS and send the dish to the correct angle as long as I had it aligned properly to one satellite? Or would I have to align every...
I am in a similar situation to the OP except I want to do things slightly different.
I already have a 80cms Channel Master Dish (great dish) and 0.3dB single feed LNB. I can get T&K Brackets easily and poles etc.
I plan is to mount the Dish on a south facing wall of my property and track the...
I have allowed vCard Download now
I am out of Ireland right now, but I will be back home next week at my office and will post up the manual then as it is stored on my desktop!
regards netwhizkid
:-worship:-worship Excellent set-up!
Makes me and my lidl dish feel so ashamed! :-DOH2
How much did this all cost you? assuming you installed it yourself?.... Has visions of a maxed out credit card and a big delivery!!
