A friend of mine had the same problem; I'm pretty sure it turned out to be an issue that was resolved when he attached the ariel loop that came with the unit. There should be a small, back-to-back ariel loop in the box, if you hook that up to the back (as per the instructions) it *should* solve...

I'm thinking of picking up one of these cheap units to use as a secondary box in another room; does anyone own one? And, if so, could you please post a brief review of the unit? I have a Fortec Star Passion receiver already, so I like and trust the brand. Thank you muchly, Greg.

Thanks again Llew. One more quick question; About a day after I did the reset and got ITV HD the name of the channel (and for Lux.tv) went all funky and now it's just a couple of random characters. Is there any particular reason for that?

Dude! That totally worked, is it the UK & ROI Regional setting after the reset that gives ITV HD? Have I lost any international channels I would have had? Sorry for all the noob questions, and thanks again for the help. :-righton

Sorry to sound like a moron, but what do you mean by select regional channels? I can't find that option... (In my defence I've only had this system for a few hours :D)

I'm in exactly the same situation; all updated software/firmware but no ITV HD shows up in the listings... I know it's a red button service, but how would that work with a Passion HD box? So frustrating...

Hi there, In the 'Advanced Scan' section should the LNB polarity be set to horizontal or vertical for receiving the 28.8 Astra satellite? Thanks! Greg.
