Hi Llew - took your advice and checked the LNB settings - strangely the LNB was set to 'type 8' and the box refused to accept 'type 1' until I did a factory reset which permitted high band tuning on a type 1 LNB. Its this a common fault??

Other receivers work fine so the LNB is OK - must be the 22khz tone - can anyone point me in the direction of what component(s) I need to replace? - I can solder but my electronics expertise is pretty much nil.

My Trusty AD3000ip refuses to pick up any channels in the upper frequency range, either H or V. Any ideas? I really don't want to junk it!

Hi - my AD3000 seems to be fading.....Its a great machine but recently has lost channels still available on my other box. A tuner fault maybe? Anyone got any ideas as to whether this can be repaired?

Thanks Llew. I found a 12v CPU fan which I've fitted in between the boards. It's just the right height to be able to be fixed in place via pressure from the case. Not sure how much air will be drawn over the CPU but there's plenty of air coming out of the vents PSU end so hopefully that will...

Thanks - by virtue of my eyesight, I've stated the wrong voltage. It's a 5v fan drawing 0.09 Amps. Don't suppose there's a 5v supply in there?
