How Do I Get BBC Channels/English Freesat in Sweden?

Hi! I use to live in Landvetter and now live in Gothenburg and you will need a good quality 1.8m dish to get BBC, C4, 5, etc from Borås. Stockholm with a 1.2m dish is an exception to the rule! I have a 1.8m Channel Master dish and this was shipped from Germany for around €800 which is a pretty...

Sky+ TDS470N ´- How can I check the model No.?

Hi! Thanks Rolf for fixing the picture, but I'm pretty sure now that my new box is not a TDS470N, since when I connect my old 2600CI I get BBC and ITV channels that I'm not getting with this Sky+ box (I live in Sweden)! The number on the back is DSI 8210CS which I assume is the Model number...

Sky+ TDS470N ´- How can I check the model No.?

Hi! I've just bought what was as advertised as a TDS470N from eBay, but looking at the back of the box there are no TDS470N labels. If you have a TDS470N, can you check the System details screen and see if the model number looks anything like mine Click on the screen above. Cheers, Martin

Can one dish feed two Digiboxes?

Hi! Is it possible for two Digi boxes (Pace 2600 C1 x2) to share the feed from one dish or will this have an adverse affect on the signal quality? The idea is to have one receiver in the lounge and the other downstairs in my cinema room. Any ideas? Cheers, Martin

    Gothenburg Help Needed!!!

Hi! If it is just the Sky channels, you should be able to get most of them with a bigger dish 1.0-1.2m, but if you also want BBC/ITV you need to be looking at a minimum of 1.8m. Without the proper tools it takes a lot of time and patience to align the dish correrctly, so I would recommend get...

    Astra 2d in Sweden

Hi! Thanks for the info, but over the last few weeks I've looked at the astra 2d web site and according to the map, you need just a 1.8 metre dish, but I have also heard conflicting advice such as yours that 2.4 might not be strong enough. Cheers, Martin

    Astra 2d in Sweden

Hi! I live in Landvetter, Sweden, which is about 20km east of Gothenburg and am seriously considering buying a larger dish to receive BBC, Channel 4, Channel 5, etc. I've been offered a second hand Prodelin 2.4 metre dish for £300 (which seems cheap) + transportation from GB (approx £250)...
