@RimaNTSS
I have two Prodelin feedhorns which I would like to try with some LNBs.
It sounds like your adapter would do this, so I would be interested in one, please.
thanks
I see there are several « other »mouting holes in your adapter.
I have several prodelin feedhorns that I want to try with C120 flange LNBs.
Could your adapter be used for this ?
Well Norton is now removed, Security Essentials antivirus is installed and updated - EBSpro now installs no problem.
Thanks for the tip Captain Jack to get rid of Norton :-)
I gave up with Windows as my main PC years ago and went to Mac OSX, and am not really up to date with current Windows antivirus options.
The annual rip off has just expired, so why not..... Security Essentials is now scanning as I type.. Will let you know how it deals with EBSpro download.
I am trying to download EBSpro to run with Crazyscan and a TBS6922 PCIe card.
As soon as I try to download Norton strips the file from the PC and says there is a virus.
I have tried all versions I can find on http://ebspro.net , but always the same (apparently different virus in each...
Trying to improve signal reception for few unstable frequencies. Dish is 1.5m, and going bigger is beyond any budget.
So, do you think the question of length from the LNB probe is important to condsider, or irrelevant ?.
I am willing to give it a punt, and so will order a feedhorn.
Getting handy with glue/resin/drill.... no problem, being precise ...hmm.. I can try.
Another couple of questions.
1. If I "adapt" a universal LNB do I need to consider the distance from the probes inside the waveguide of the LNB...
In *post 307 of this thread you showed some pictures of a metal plate attached to cut off twin gold LNB waveguide (see attached images copied from your post). How / where did you make / get this adapter plate (it is what I need) ?.
Thanks
Hello RimaNTSS,
I want to mate a Prodelin 51deg Feed Horn to a universal LNB.
- How did you make / where did you find, the "flange" that you fixed to the twin gold LNB ?
- Any reason you used a twin gold LNB (compared to other LNB) ?
thanks
I have a Gibertini 1,5m offset dish with with f/d=0.66. There is a Model 0800-309 feedhorn on ebay, and I am wondering if I might get better results than with the Gibertini feedhorn (which isn't that much better than a good universal LNB).
Do you know if the flange is C120 or something else...
Yes the Opticum is a definte improvement on the "twin dish" LNB, but doesn't fully solve the problem, only a bigger dish will do that. I can upgrade to a 130cm for not too much cost (and likey will), however for how long would that do..? So my gut tells me a Gibby 150 is more like it; but much...
