Probably but they are not selling the D9234 anymore only the new ones so hopefully when they swap to DVB-S2 all the old boxes will be gone. As more HD channels turn up people will want to ditch the old std boxes.
That is a bit harsh. Ok they are not on the same planet as a Promax but, for someone with a hobby they are fine. The battery life is the worst bit. But other than that they are work just like a satellite Rx with a screen. If you have it with the beep on and signal bars up and don't move the dish...
I have one of these and it works fine. I would say a slightly brighter screen than the Trimax but basically identical as far as usage goes.
Battery life is reasonable when charged but does not hold the charge for that many days b4 it starts to slowly drop and u need to recharge it.

Yeah, lol - how many times have I gone into an elderly persons house to do an install only to find a new plasma or lcd tv with the video, dvd or paytv connected through coax...
You might also have to mannually move the SG2100 to 0 deg, reset it and go from there.
U think ur having fun now...wait till u try to work out the conf files for xcam, newcamd, evocamd plus and the like... :D
Murphy - speed of motorway inversely proportional to the urgency that u need to get home by :D
I am running the latest hydra7000_atlantis img and seems quite nice.
u might want to go back to rdgd5 though.

BTW you dont actually end up watching much telly with it...
Most of the time you are flat out just keeping up loading the lastest images and working out which emu works best with which image etc :D
