What about using VLC to re-encode the TS file in DIVX. It should be able to do it...
It should even be able to record directly from the ts stream into DIVX on your hard drive.

I shared a folder d:\DM500. i gave permissions to "dreambox" on the share, i gave permission on the folder and all childs full control.
I created in there \hdd\Movie and \Movie (to make sure it would find it)
I went on...
