I think what needs to be basically explained here is that BBC1, 2, ITV, CH4, CH5 etc etc etc! have moved on to the spot beam of Astra 1N. The spot beam just covers the UK, Ireland and a small portion of Northern France. Look at Astra 1N on the Lyngsat site to see which channels you cannot...

I had a feeling it wouldn't, however I was going to give it a try as Llew says he doesn't have any freezing with his Passion, whilst running v.1.4.5 (and loader v.1.5), which I now have too. Unh.

Thanks Seoras for that information. Mine is just the Passion not the Passion+, and after Llew's reply the other day I found I was using firmware 1.4.4. So I have now changed to 1.4.5. (the latest but still a year old...) and it still freezes but nowhere near as bad. With both firmwares it does...

I too had problems 'tuning in' Ch4 HD, but found the answer was to have PILOT set to ON or AUTO, whereas I think most posts I've read say it should be OFF, funny that. However, although it's now working the picture is still freezing every so often. No other channel does this. I'm getting a good...
