Windows 10 & Router config page

Yesterday I was fed up with flaky firmware on my router, from tomato reflashed it to dd-wrt kong mod.

Since the flash, none of my windows pc's will display the config page of the router :-(

The raspberry pi thankfully does see the configure page of the router.

But I really need to try and get to the bottom of this, as I need to be able to change configurations from time to time.

Using windows 10 I have tried edge, IE and Mozilla all give me a message saying the page is correct, but cannot be displayed.

The raspberry pi just gives me the normal login box.

Any ideas please on what is stopping the correct pages to display?

Was it 192.168.0.1?

Could it be a Windows Firewall issue? (I bet it is ..... sounds like you've got one way traffic)

It was 192.168.1.1 in my case, I will remove kaspersky and see if that solves it.

It's a common problem from what I can gather.

Good scheme.

To be frank, nobody needs third-party AntiVirus now that Windows Defender does the same job just as well.

looks like kaspersky is the cause, just uninstalled it, rebooted the pc, and logged straight in to the config page of the router :D

I wonder if that is the reason why BT hubs use 192.168.1.254?

My bt hub was 192.168.1.254

And the ip range it gave out was 192.168.1.1-192.168.1.253 (from memory, not been with bt for many years)

The BT Hume Hubs hand out a range of 192.168.1.64-192.168.1.253

The gateway is indeed 192.168.1.254

I'm not sure why they don't start from .1
