I never really understood why Music channels still exist, always terrible quality with too many adverts and voiceovers telling us pointless facts.

Putting a youtube playlist on is just far easier.

They should follow the MTV 19.2 model - one channel that shows rock /dance / pop / alt in high bitrate.

I have 648 in the Toyota as it is a imported car (with original Japanese FM radio banding)

Anything is better than Radio 1

Not once have I watched any of these channels. There are decent music channels elsewhere on satellite and this dross isn't one of them.

The Box network channels aren't that great IMO though I do know an uncle of mine regularly watches Magic, so there's one viewer that'll be disappointed. The continentals do music television better in 2024.

So that's these five music channels, Viaplay Xtra & Tiny Pop (and presumably its +1) either ceased broadcasting or plan to later this year, and January hasn't even finished yet. It could be a bit of a bloodbath for FTA channels on 28E yet.

1,8 Channel Master, Black Pro LNB with CM feedhorn for 28 E which is my main interest when watching TV. VU+ DUO 4K SE, VU+ DUO 2, Octagon SF8008 and Vantage 8000 S and TS receivers. Fixed dishes at: 42 E (0,75 m), 28,2/28,5 E (1,8 m), 19,2 E (1,5 m), 13 E (1,1 m), 9 E (0,7 m), 5 E (1,2 m) and 1 W (0,7 m).

It seems I will turn more and more to the German channels at 19,2 E in the future if/when there is less to get at 28 E.
I'm fluent in German so that's a good option for me. Easy to get with a small dish too and at least ARD/ZDF and "die Dritten" have no plans to encrypt their channels.
