Eutelsat 7B to 16°E

Until Eutelsat publish the expected beam pattern for 16D any speculation is pointless as the transmission dishes can be slewed at least a little to cover a desired area better. However this sentence in the link above suggests not much will change in the core transmission area(s):

Eurovision Services will closely monitor the transfer of services from Eutelsat 16A to Eutelsat 16D. The new satellite will provide coverage similar to that of Eutelsat 16A

I am attaching the files from the two checks performed yesterday and the one from this morning... You can see all the transponders that have been transferred to Eutelsat 16D (formerly Eutelsat 7B ).

Transponder B5 has also been moved to Eutelsat 16D.

the new beams of the 16D can be found here

Shortly after going live, satellite operator Eutelsat published coverage maps. Notably, the Europe A and Europe B bundles don’t include information about ERP performance in individual areas. So it’s not known how strong the signal can be in a specific area. Only the coverage area is known.

Eutelsat 16D offers several bundles. The basic bundle 'Europe A' covers all of Europe, North Africa, the Middle East, and the western part of the Russian Federation.

The 'Europe B' package focuses on Central, Western, Eastern, and Southeastern Europe and covers Turkey. Compared to the original version of the package at position 7°E, there has been a significant change and adjustment in the coverage (originally, the package was aimed at the area around the Mediterranean).

The 'Europe C' bundle (for the Ka-band!) is also aimed at parts of Europe.

Hola, hope all is well for you there. ¿What particular frequency/ies now show a weaker BBC reception with your1.8m? Thanks for that and take care. :Y

All good here thanks. Was a feed up this afternoon on 12.720 SR 6000, just about locked on the 1.8, probably up for half an hour so then dropped, just colour bars no live, they could be testing, but any heavy cloud or rain would have totally killed it.
